Begin Your Teeth Straightening Smile Today!

The most common method to straighten crooked teeth is to place metal braces on one’s teeth, as well as utilize rubber bands to help put our teeth into alignment.  While this is a great way to fix crooked teeth, having a mouth full of metal does not always appeal to everyone.  But luckily, Torrey Hills Dental offers another solution to fix crooked teeth: Invisalign.

Invisalign is a great alternative to braces, as it allows the straightening process to be more incognito.  Invisalign will require one to wear a series of clear, plastic trays/aligners that will help shift the teeth into alignment.  Using a computer imaging system, we create a series of clear retainers that fit the configuration of your teeth.  The first one will fit your current configuration, while each retainer after will use gentle pressure to move your teeth into the desired positions.

Depending on your current teeth configuration, the amount of time you use Invisalign will differ.  However, most individuals use between 18 and 30 trays to get the desired effect.  Each tray is removable, but is recommended to be worn all day, except for when eating, for a total of two weeks.  Every two weeks a new aligner/tray is used until all of your teeth are in perfect alignment.

To find out more about Invisalign, be sure to visit Torrey Hills Dental to begin your teeth straightening smile today.  You won’t be disappointed!
