How To Capture Great Smartphone Pics Every Time

Hey guys, Natalia, Full Circle Images here. Thanks for joining me again and happy June, happy summer in San Diego. I hope you’re as excited as I am. I’m here today in Del Mar on the beach, and I wanted to give you a quick little tip that you can use anywhere, any time, but specifically it’s great for shooting those awesome sunset pictures with your smartphone that we all like to take and then share everywhere.

Best thing is this tip it’s actually for your smartphone camera. I’m not even going to make you take out your real camera this time because let’s face it we just carry our smartphone and just use that all the time.

Next time you go to take a picture on your phone what you want to do is before you hit that shutter button tap the screen where you want your subject to be. So let’s say you’re taking a photo of the sunset. Before you press that shutter button, tap the screen on the sky. What this’ll do is it’ll tell the camera, hey, that spot you tapped, it’s really bright. So I’m going to adjust the exposure and tone it down, and it’s going to underexpose.

It’ll do a couple of things. It’ll make what’s in the forefront give those nice dark, smooth black silhouettes, and the sky because it’s underexposed it’ll bring out all those great colors that we see in person but can never really get on camera.

So next time you’re shooting a sunset, underexpose by tapping the screen on the sky. You’ll thank me later. I’d love to see how this works out for you. Leave a link or a comment in the comments section under the video, and I’ll see you guys next month. Have fun. Bye.
