Therapist Shares How To Cultivate Happiness

Hi this is Amy Chang, licensed manager and family therapist. I’m here to give you another tip on how to cultivate your happiness. Today’s tip is to take breaks during your long hours at work. It’s important for you to take that five minute, ten minute break to go outside and to get some fresh air. So I’ve been in my office all day in La Jolla, seeing clients and doing administrative tasks. But I also make it an effort to go outside and get some sunlight because studies and research have shown that you are able to concentrate more and be more productive when you do take that time out.

In addition, your mind is a mental muscle. So your muscle does need a break. Working longer hours does not mean that you produce good work. So again, take that time out, five to ten minutes and go outside. Get some fresh air. Walk around the neighborhood. If you’re interested in more tips on how to cultivate your happiness, look for my videos in the future. Thank you.
