Carmel Knolls Park – A Great Place to Undwind

Chances are if you live in or around the Carmel Valley area, you have probably been to Carmel Knolls Park a time or two.  Carmel Knolls Park is a favorite of Carmel Valley residents, largely in part due to its gorgeous landscaping, fun playground and overall family friendly environment.  It also boasts a big field, where many soccer games can be seen, especially on a Saturday afternoon.  Families can enjoy watching the soccer games, have a picnic, and even enjoy a game of basketball.  It really is a great place to unwind on the weekends and enjoy the fresh breeze.

Carmel Knolls Park also serves as one of the local practice facilities for a San Diego based soccer school.  The Little Rascalz Soccer School, created in 2005, offers children a great way to learn the fundamentals of soccer in a non-competitive, entertaining, yet effective environment.  With soccer being one of the fastest growing sports in the United States for kids, many parents are searching for the right soccer program to enroll their children in, but are taken aback by just how competitive and cutthroat some programs can be.

There is a buzz of activity on the weekends with parents and kids participating in tournaments and then often hanging around after the games to enjoy the park.  Carmel Knolls Park has a number of play structures for kids of all ages, sand volleyball and well maintained restrooms.  It’s also not uncommon to see a bounce house or two entertaining families for weekend birthday parties.  In all, Carmel Knolls Park is a destination for Carmel Valley families looking for an active lifestyle in one of the area’s most scenic spots.
