Crust Pizzeria of San Diego Hosts Soft Open for Local Community

Hi, I’m Matt Othick, the owner of Crust Pizzeria. This will be our second location we’re opening up here in Carmel Valley. We’re really happy to be out here. We’ve met a lot of great people already during the build-out. We’re about 75% done with the restaurant. We have a lot to do, but we feel like we’re close.

We’re not open right now. We’re just doing this special event. We wanted to have The Carmel Valley Life in, to see what we’re doing, and we’re having a fund night tonight, and getting to meet a lot of new people. And we’re excited about that. We’re highly involved in the community. We definitely have done a lot to try and make this place a fun place to be. Crust Pizzeria has been in business three years in La Costa, and it’s been an exciting time for us there. We were ready to expand. We were lucky enough to meet some great people in that area, and we were able to find this great location.

CRUST is an upscale, neighborhood pizzeria that serves up handcrafted, Artisan New York style Pizza with a modern touch. Master Pizza Chef Charlie Meola’s passion for pizza making brings a unique experience to pizza eating. The pizza flavors are brought full circle by Crust’s carefully selected wine list and local craft beers.
