Free Art Festivals Only Minutes from Carmel Valley San Diego!

Carmel Valley Sana Diego Community | Arts Alive

Free Art Festivals This Sunday

For only a 10-15 minute drive, residents of the Carmel Valley San Diego Community can enjoy the coast in a unique and vibrant way.  Sunday, October 2, 2011 will be a great day to be on the coast as Arts Alive comes back to Solana Beach and the Del Mar Village Association’s annual Taste & Stroll returns to Del Mar.

Voted the 2010 “Best Event in San Diego County,” Arts Alive on the Coastal Rail Trail features live musicians, stilt theatre walkers, a mask creating station for kids, visual artwork scattered about the Trail, and one of Carmel Valley San Diego Community’s very own local Canyon Crest Academy’s dance troupe . There will also be a silent auction of 2011 Arts Alive banners painted by students, artists, and local parents.  You might have seen this art collection that hung on streetlight poles along Highway 101 and Lomas Santa Fe Drive over the summer.  If you didn’t get a chance, now you can! Come on in and take some back to your Carmel Valley home.  The City of Solana Beach and the Public Arts Advisory Commission invite everyone to the south end of the Coastal Rail Trail (Via de la Valle to Lomas Santa Fe, along Highway 101) to attend this free art and cultural event from noon to 4:00 pm.  For more information, please contact Anita Edman at (858) 720-2454 or visit Arts Alive
