Fitness Coach Shares “Mel’s Boot Camp” Secrets

Last Saturday morning at MELS BOOT CAMP, we played awesome music, danced in the sun & worked on our tan (..umm..& David touched up his farmer’s tan…=0 ).  We enjoyed fresh cut watermelon and topped it off with a super intense full body fat burning workout!  I MUST SAY..WHAT AN AWESOME WAY TO KICK OFF THE WEEKEND.

Try this at home if you can.  If you don’t have what we used, make the modifications I offer in the workout breakdown.  This is a workout that is not only going to burn fat fast, but it is going to give you lean muscle tone & definition everywhere–especially in your core and upper body.  WHOO HOO FOR TANK TOPS THIS SUMMER!

Workout Breakdown

Workout type: Timed Interval Training , Full Body
Part 1  — Cardio circuit:  combo  20 sec x 4 rounds of 3 different exercises:

  1. Mountain Climbers
  2. Speed Push Ups
  3. High Knees
Part 2 — Set Timer: 1 minute work / 20 seconds rest
  1. Touch-Down/Pivot Zigzag Cone Sprints
  2. Sandbag Wheel Barrel Push Sprint
  3. Superman Bananas-  Combo: 2/2
  4. Sandbag Warrior Dash/Throw down – Combo 10 Squat/ High Kicks*
  5. Jump Thrus/  Combo speed push ups x 2/2
  6. Sandbag Rope Pull Dash (if you don’t have a bag- fill a backpack with gravel or do a body-weight speed sprint)
*squat to center, then shift body to one side & kick the opposite side’s leg out as high as possible.  Repeat- squatting again & shift & kick other side. do a total of 10- so 5/side
