Carmel Valley Life Pet of the Month

Cora is the Carmel Valley Life Pet of the Month at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 6 month old, 8 pound, Dachshund / Terrier mix.

Cora is still a puppy. She was living in a home with several other dogs. Her family realized that she wasn’t getting the time and attention that a young dog needs. They surrendered her to another shelter then she was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through toe FOCAS program. Cora has spent some time in private foster care where she loved being the center of attention and napping in the sunshine.

“Paint your Pet” on Thursday, July 7th from 6 to 9 PM at Witch Creek Winery at 2906 Carlsbad Blvd. in Carlsbad. The fee is $50 with 15% of each purchase donated to your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. Participants must submit drawings of their pets by July 5^th. Each painter will go home with an 11 by 14 painting of their pet. This is the largest dog-centric event in San Diego with contests, pet adoption, and more than 200 vendors showcasing the latest products for dogs and the people who love them.
