Your Purse and Feng Shui Luck

Carmel Valley San Diego Community | Gwen Coronado | gwen purse deer park Is your purse a symbol of wealth or is it a danger to your health? Maybe it’s a little of both. Feng shui principles definitely do apply to your purse and your wallet! In today’s fashion, purses are symbolic of the designer but in reality it represents you, your personality, and your lifestyle. Like your wonderful smile; it first creates first impressions, good, better or best.

Being a purse addict, I am fascinated by watching people carry their purses. Show me what kind of purse you carry, and I will tell you who you are. Really, a purse is a symbol of your personality. In essence, your purse is an expression of you; it is your signature, and it tells a story. A purse is an indispensable tool; a valuable asset that contains important things that identify various facets of your life. On one hand, a woman’s purse is a collector of things, and sometimes those things are downright unhealthful because studies have revealed that a woman’s purse ranks as one of the top ten germ-infested items we come in contact with on a regular basis. On the other hand, a woman’s handbag is also the place where she carries her wealth and financial power – and you want your purses’ focus to be on money; attracting it, and holding on to it.

Your purse is the home for your money, and yes, you can feng shui your purse for financial freedom by turning it into a money magnet by applying the five elements of feng shui based on your date of birth.

Regardless of what purpose you place on your purse, whether you value its functionality or appearance, it deserves your respect. When you buy a purse, put some thought into it. What do you want from a purse? Does it meet your needs? Because it does not matter how gorgeous, or how expensive the purse is, if it is not functional, then, indirectly, it creates negative energy every time you place your hands on your purse. In the law of attraction, negative attracts negative, and vice versa.

Now that I have your attention, let’s talk about the importance of colors in feng shui because they represent the 5 elements:  Fire (red, pink, and orange), Water (blue, black), Metal (white), Wood (green), and Earth (brown). Even though selecting a purse color is a personal choice, be mindful when buying to benefit from your purse, because colors are the strongest expression of specific energies in feng shui. The deeper the color, the stronger its protective energy; this is what you want in a purse or wallet. Then determine the location of where positive energy is located in your home to rest your purse. Don’t just nonchalantly toss it onto the first open space you see when you get home. Treat your purse as a secondary safe-deposit box. Keep your purse elevated; not on the floor such as restaurants, restrooms or at work. Keep your purse clean at all times. Never throw tidbits of trash into your purse; gum and candy wrappers, paper, and used tissue. When tossing trash into your money bag, you are indirectly inviting “trash” into your life.

Carry a coin purse, so as not to use your purse for coins to sink to the bottom of your financial-well. This is disrespectful of money. Carry a $100.00 dollar bill for emergencies only; not to spend, and you will feel powerful subconsciously knowing that you have this cash on hand. A purse and ready cash, is a healthy purse leading to a healthy life. Carry only what you need in your purse; money, keys, phone, etc. A clutter-free purse makes space to attract more financial blessings, and when the money in your life feels secured and treasured, you will attract more of it.

When in doubt.  Remember, no clutter. Be neat, especially when you’re the one sporting your money bag.
