Torrey Hills Center Host Movie Nights & Charity Concerts

Hi, I’m Jim Wheeler and I’m the executive director of Tunes for Tots of Southern California. Here behind me you can see Mason Mercer singing. He’s one of our members here in Tunes for Tots of Southern California and what we do is we throw charity concerts for children’s charities all over Southern California, raising money for children’s charities. Here we’re raising money for the Boys and Girls Club of Carmel Valley, so, we’re here at the Torrey Hills Center in Carmel Valley, and right after this we’re going to be actually watching a movie. This is what they’re doing here in the summers at the Torrey Hills Center, and it’s just an amazing thing, gathering families together, friends together, and you guys should come down.

We’re going to be doing this next month as well, the last Friday of next month in August, and also I believe in September from what I hear. So, again, Tunes for Tots of Southern California, we are throwing charity concerts all over the place, but we especially want you to come down here to the Torrey Hills Center and be able to enjoy some things and we want to thank them for allowing us to be here. Carmel Valley has just been an amazing place for us to be, so I want to thank you guys and have a great day.

What Tunes for Tots is, is they’re this awesome charity organization where they bring together all of the different talent in the southern California area, and they give us all a platform to not only release our original music, but also to give back by taking donations at the shows. All the proceeds go to charities and different charitable works and organizations. Boys and Girls Club is one, the Make A Wish Foundation… There’s a lot. So today was just a blast. We just get up there and we get to sing whatever we want. The stage is ours and it’s kind of fun because people are walking by, so you have to kind of grab their attention when they’re walking by, and we have a wireless mic so it makes it kind of easy to follow people and get them to listen to you, but it’s just a really fun environment. There’s people with chairs and they can bring their blankets and they just all have a good time and listen to some good music and hang out and watch a movie after and it’s great.
