TPPW Football & Cheer Gearing up for the 2012 Season

Torrey Pines Pop Warner was busy preparing for the upcoming 2012 season.  TPPW is excited to build on a successful 2011 football & cheer season that saw 2 football teams compete for the Palomar D2 championships.  Our cheer squads also had an amazing season, with all 4 competitive squads having taken first place at one or more competitions.   Most exciting of all was the success of our Jr. Midget Falcons Intermediate squad, led by Head Coaches Alicia Smith and Andrea Loewen-Rodriguez, which made history by taking first place and becoming National Champions at both the Pop Warner National Cheer Competition at ESPN Wide World of Sports and JAMZ Nationals in Las Vegas.  For the Jr. Midget Falcons, the challenging road to the National Championships included long hours of practice beginning in August, and first place victories at the Palomar Cheer Competition in October, and the Wescon Regional Cheer Competition in Long Beach in November before their huge victory in Orlando at the Pop Warner Super Bowl in December.

The 2011 season concluded with a Grand Championship victory at JAMZ Palms & Pyramids (the highest score among all squads in the competition over all age and skill levels) and the National Championship at the JAMZ Nationals in Las Vegas in January.  After their victories, the Jr. Midget Falcons were thrilled to be featured on KUSI and KFMB morning shows as well as being honored on the field by the San Diego Chargers at their final home game of the season.

Online Registration for the 2012 TPPW Football & Cheer season is now open.  For more information and to register, please click HERE now.
